Location


We are located very conveniently 800 metres from the main gondola station in Soldeu giving access to the largest skiing area in Andorra, and a bus stop right at the end of the hotels' drive way connects you to all destinations in the principality and major destinations in France and Spain.

Andorra


Andorra is in some of the highest parts of the Pyrenees bordering France and Spain. It is an independent tax free countryabout the size of the Isle of White. Mountains reach heights of nearly 3000m (10,000ft) with most of the skiing over 2000m. It is famous for its snow sports, mountain hiking, and tax free shopping.

The official language is Catalan, however, due to tourism and tax free status many other languages are widely spoken, including French, Spanish, and English. Visitors from around the world are always made welcome and often remark about the something 'special' in Andorra.

Your Hosts


Nick and Nuria have been running the Hotel Roc de St Miquel since 2001. Nick is from the UK but has lived in Andorra since 1992 and Nuria is from Barcelona. They have both been ski instructors for many years in Soldeu and mountain guides in summer.



They have been married since 2002 and have twin girls, Elsie and Lydia.

Snow & Snow

We have just had nearly a meter of snow! The lifts open on the 28th November. www.grandvalira.com is now online.

Changes for 2010

Full instalation of the world cup slope down Avet. A new part for the Slalom and Perdiu and tunnel for the green to the bottom so that when there is a race or trianing only Avet will be closed.
